The $7.9 million project will cater for Australian rules football, cricket and diamond sports (tee‑ball, baseball and softball) for the local community and the adjacent high school.
The State Government contributed $4.65 million to the project, which included the development of the facility's three new ovals and floodlighting.
The $2.85 million contributed by the City of Mandurah provided for the development of the facility's new clubrooms.
The Lakelands Park sports facility is on the corner of Mandurah Road and Banksiadale Gate.
